Eduard 48th FW.190 A-8

Archive 1- captured Fw190A and D models. They fell into the Soviet hands.

Archive 2- sample tested and evaluated by Soviet experts.

Archive 3- front view of the Fw190A in Soviet markings.

Start point of this build present spraying of black color as basic for future painting as well some small conversions. This one show removed plastic squares and on this place will be later put metal gills.

Instrument panel and the top cover. Except cover there is not paint
used- all parts are pre painted by manufacturer.

This is firewal with ammunition boxes included. Still wear on many parts all black base color, note the new set of etched parts. At the end this will be painted in RLM 02 Grau color.

Pilot set, worn out color and etched belts.

The basic photo etched set is very detailed but "Eduard" also offer more detailing sets.

Cockpit in place. No matter that side of fuselage is painted in the RLM 66 interior color this look almost black on this image.

Basic parts are made as "stand alone" parts but for some detailing some rework have to be made. This include sanding down of all details on the side panels of the cockpit hub. Area have to be flat and here will go photo etched replacement as well much of small parts.

Wing parts, two upper and one bottom as well wheel box all fitted together.

Inside of the undercarriage is placed more parts then many scale kit have in total. Note new set photo etched parts for the inside walls.
Even the gun barrel include few of them.

Engine mount in place. It coming as set of parts to be assembled into one section.

Small reshaping of slot is helpfully to wing set perfect. Sinister black base color hide many if etched parts include in the area.
Note the structure behind the rectangular opening in the engine section.

Protected canopy. This covering masks are included in the basic kit material.
Here it is- the cockpit canopy with number of new etched parts.
There is access door in the rear part as well a number of parts which consisted the instruments console.

Most interesting is that whole camouflage work could be made in one operation. No need to wait for color to be dry, I have paint light blue color and then two greys on the topside.

Underside of the kit is also gloss coated and wait for decals.

Decals provided by "Eduard" is maybe best I have ever seen. There is separate large set with all possible data, label and small marks and inscriptions and other sheet include decals for the specific kit.
Instruction for this is A4 full color 16 pages publication and last four pages are for the camouflage.

Here it is- final model of this famous German fighter plane.

Close up detail of the nose armament.

Top view on the finished scale kit.
