24/03/2006 Welcome John Masters to the site..

So here are a few of my builds over the past year. All are 72nd scale.
I chose those that I felt best illustrated my own growing skills as a modeler as well as pet projects like small post-WW1 air forces.

The Bleriot XI--an old FROG mold from Eastern Express, with Blue Rider Serbian markings.
Not my best build by far, but my first attempt at rigging, with thread.

The Nieuport N.28, from Revell with post-war Swiss markings. This was my second rigging job, using stretched sprue. The decals are from a Microscale sheet I found by chance at the local store.

Another Nieuport, N.17, from Revell, with OOP Blue Rider White Russian markings.

An Eastern Express Aviatik Berg, in a post-war Ukraine Air Force scheme.
Rigging is Ethicon stainless steel.

My first resin kit, a Czechmaster Bristol M. 1C 'Bullet'.

An Airfix Sopwith Pup, in a Home Defense posture.

A Fokker DVII from Roden, as flown by Ltn. Emil Thuy in 1918. IMHO the streaking came out just right.

One of my favorite, a MAC Roland DVIa. I feel my 'wood' technique came out very well in this one.

My most recent accomplishment, Gottfried Frieherr von Banfield's 'Blau Vogel'
(Blue Wonder), a Mickl-Oeffag H, one-of-a-kind, flying boat.
This is also Czechmaster Resin, I believe, from the early 1990's. All stainless rigging, with a lot of scratchbuilding, especially struts. Decals are from the Blue Rider A-H sheet.

Some of John's older builds.

Chinese I-16, Blue Rider decals, I don't remember what kit...

Encore Tupolev I-4

Heller Morane 225

Azur IMAM Ro.37

Azur Breda 65
