Added 15/11/2007 Bayonet Military Model Competition, 2007. 10th November.

On Saturday 10th November 2007 Neil Eddy attended the Bayonet Military Model Club of Werribee, Victoria, hosted its Military Model Competition, Swap Meet and Family Day. Models entered covered a wide range of scales, categories, and types. Both senior and junior categories were represented. Overall the quality of models on show was high. The organisers of ‘Bayonet’ took the decision a number of shows ago to create a ‘Master Class’ for Modellers whose models have one a first or second prize in a model show within the past two years. The standard of model in the master class was high and the formation of this class allows ‘ordinary modellers’ an even chance in the other classes. Whilst attendance and entries were a little down on previous years, ‘Bayonet’ remains a vibrant competition, and a great opportunity for ordinary modellers to show off their skills in a competition environment.

Needless to say the Swap meet was well picked over, as was the NKR Models stand!

Finally it was great to see all the proceeds from the show going to the Make-A-Wish Foundation who received almost a thousand dollars on the day from the Show’s organisers. Well done everyone!
